Brooklyn has boarded Universal’s Battleship, an adaptation of Hasbro’s naval-based guessing game. Peter Berg is directing the $200 million production about a fleet of international ships battling an alien invasion.
According to LatinoReview, she’ll be playing the part of Sam, the love interest of Taylor Kitsch’s character. Alexander Skarsgård and Rihanna round out the unintentionally hilarious cast.
Her character is further described as being able to “surf, fight, dance and crush the NY Times crossword puzzle. (She) has driven a motorcycle around the world twice.”
Battleship is scheduled for May 2012. Filming begins August 30th in Hawaii.
